By: Hoogendoorn & Talbot An associate and two partners at Hoogendoorn & Talbot will host a special Christian Legal Society (CLS) event in honor of author, professor and CLS director Mike Schutt. The event will take place at the offices of Hoogendoorn & Talbot. Schutt serves as CLS's Director of Attorney and Law Student Ministries, and Editor of the Journal of Christian Legal Thought. He works with Christian Legal Society chapters around the country. The event will take place on Thursday, March 26, from 5:00 to 6:30 pm, at 122 S. Michigan, Suite 1220, in Chicago's downtown Loop. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be provided. Christopher Floss, Case Hoogendoorn and Kevin Todd, will be hosting the event. Floss expressed his enthusiasm: “Case, Kevin and I are looking forward to welcoming the members of the Christian Legal Society to our office. Mike Schutt is well known among national CLS chapters for his dedication to the society and to the legal profession, at large. We are eager to welcome him to Chicago.” The Christian Legal Society is a nationwide fellowship of Christian lawyers and law students whose mission is to inspire, encourage and equip Christian lawyers and students to proclaim, love and serve Jesus Christ through the study and practice of law. The Chicago Chapter meets on a monthly basis. Hoogendoorn & Talbot LLP, founded in 1985, is a law firm that focuses on representing families, business entities, and charitable and religious organizations. Each year, the firm and its partners donate a portion of their time, talent and revenue both to secular non-profits and faith-based organizations.
