Small Brewery & Local Grocer Team Up to Offer Craft Beer Brats

BERTHOUD, Colo. - May 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Hays Market and City Star Brewing have collaborated to introduce Homemade Bandit Brown Beer Brats, now offered for sale at Hays Market in both Johnstown, CO and Berthoud, CO.

Hays co-owner Ryan Hays says, "City Star Brewing provided our meat managers with several of their fantastic beers to experiment with in the process of making a unique and outstanding Beer Brat.  After a couple weeks of sampling some different recipes, we think we’ve come up with the perfect product.  A Beer Bratwurst, made with pork marinated in Bandit Brown Beer overnight, and ground with our special spices makes this the perfect bratwurst for your weekend barbecue.  Pick some up today at your local Hays Market in Johnstown or Berthoud Colorado, you won’t be disappointed!!"

Hays Market is family owned and operated since 1929 with two locations at 919 Mountain Avenue in Berthoud, CO and 201 Johnstown Center Drive in Johnstown, CO. The local grocer is now run by 4^th generation brothers Ryan, Neal and Russell Hays.  Hays Market takes great pride in sourcing fresh local products, collaborating with local businesses, and supporting community events.

City Star Brewing offers award-winning, small batch American ales, hand crafted on a 3.5 barrel brew system in the heart of downtown Berthoud, Colorado. The small town brewery was awarded Gold and Bronze medals at the world renown, Great American Beer Festival in 2013.  City Star first opened it’s doors just over 3 years ago and has since become a destination for craft beer lovers.

City Star's taproom is open 7 days a week: Mon-Tues 2-9pm, Wed-Fri 2-10pm, Sat 12-10pm and Sun 12-9pm. Six "mainstay" brews are always on tap: Cowboy's Golden Lager, 6 Shooter Pale Ale, Red Necktar American Red Ale, All American IPA, Bandit Brown and Night Watchman Stout. In addition, four taps are always dedicated to specialty beers.
