No Fifty Shades of Dice-ider Mobile App

The independent Indie Application Dice-ider, makes bedroom fantasy play an achievable and equitable affair.

SYDNEY - April 26, 2015 - PRLog -- It is impossible to ignore the throng of interest in, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifty_Shades_of_Grey)’, firstly with the novel by E.L. James (http://www.eljamesauthor.com/books/fifty-shades-of-grey/), and most recently, with the steamy film adaptation. The film explores a distorted version of ‘BDSM’, and has had its fair share of public disdain for its portrayal of a vulnerable female being manipulated via a powerful male, whilst being in an abusive relationship. The concern in the portrayal of these sexual fantasies is the lack of equality, voice, and a person actually being heard. Indie developers Lisa Di Mambro and Lindsay Lyon believe their app called Dice-ider (http://www.dice-ider.com/), has no shades of grey, but rather has the ability to make fantasy and fun in the bedroom an experience that is about equality, and each partner being able to state their desires without intimidation.

Relationships are strange things, and after the ‘honeymoon’ period the bedroom antics can often lull into a comfortable, and sometimes-monotonous drone of events. ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, even with its faults, has given some women the ability to communicate that they want something luscious in their boudoirs, by getting their partners to realise that fantasising is a big part of sexuality for women. It also revealed something more stirring, yet obvious at the same time, women need more foreplay. We have often mistakenly thought that it simply means physical foreplay, however women are more stimulated emotionally and mentally, so obviously this side needs some sensual attention too. Women need to be thinking of sex, having some stimulating fantasy-styled thoughts to get their engines warmed up. Dice-ider, is a game, the developers state that, ‘Can get the luscious thoughts rolling in no time!’

In an age where men have traditionally ruled in the bedroom, women fantasize about being dominant and desire to hold some power. Women want to have their bodies worshipped, call the shots in bed and be begged for more. Laci Green (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsA4Ter2VPA), YouTuber and public sex educator, says, 'It’s about a combination of being in a position of power and being desired.’ In her book “Garden of Desires (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/sex/10268770/Top-5-women...),” Emily Dubberley, British author and journalist who specializes in sex and relationships, notes that dominant sexual fantasies focus on the woman mainly receiving the pleasure, and the man giving it to her without question.

This is a shift from the traditional roles, and whilst it is probably a tad overdue, this open communication of what women want can also hold a negative stigma, especially in the minds of women. Dice-ider (http://www.dice-ider.com/) allows the user to write down their fantasy, send it to their partner, and have their partner return their own desires in a tag-team kind of playfulness. Both have a voice, both are heard, without saying a word. Leigh Louis-Gung, the author of Endgame states in his educational book about how to understand the needs of women, that all women need to feel, ‘Safe, secure…and looked after. It’s about feeling.’ After much research it does seem to be apparent that women are attracted to power, money, and strength, because all of these are a type of security for her. Though the misconduct of these is a polarized form of this security. Women do not need grey. Women may need more fantasy, with safety. And women are ready when they feel safe, and can confidently communicate, and be heard. Women need more play. Safe play. Game on.
