Liam Neeson-“A Mad and wonderful Thing” IRA Sympathizer

We are the family of Heidi Hazell, a 26 year old German citizen shot and killed by the IRA on September 7^th 1989. Heidi was murdered with a Kalashnikov Machine Gun in Unna Massen Germany.

Your words: “excellent: deeply satisfying and moving”, adding: “I think sufficient time has passed since the Good Friday agreement to, at last, have a novel that goes inside the head of one of the Troubles’s protagonists. To hear the pros and cons of the conflict told in an original and exciting way.”

Bearing in mind, that you are referring to the story of an IRA terrorist; the same brood that shot Heidi’s body to shreds, we would like to ask you Mr. Neeson,

how many of your loved ones were shot, bombed, raped or buried alive by the IRA?

How many times did you visit the graveside of your loved one and felt like your tears are choking the live right out of your body?!

How many times have you sat and attempted to grasp the idea of the unforgiving, the surreal, the slaughter of your loved one and the utter pain coming from the pit of your stomach?

How many times have you pondered on why these same terrorists are now sitting comfortably in licensed Government positions, requesting inquiries into Con-IRA operations, ridiculing their victims, questioning their believe in peace?

You think “at least” enough time has passed since the “Good Friday” Agreement Mr. Neeson? You could not be any further from the TRUTH!!!

Not enough time can ever pass, to “at least” go into the mind of a psychotic killer, a terrorist, a member of a terrorist organization that went from bomb to ballot box and is now hiding under the Name Sinn Fein, continuously intimidating and terrorizing its victims! And this is what you want to call “deeply satisfying”? To glamorize, glorify or romanticize as you are on your way to do is not only an outrage, but clearly shows a sympathizing nature. Mr. Neeson, we assumed you to be an intelligent, well rounded and talented artist, who understood, that there is nothing “exciting” about these horrible atrocities.

Should you move ahead with the production of this film, we the family of Heidi Hazell will gather other victims of the IRA and we will see you in court.

Unnecessary duress, intimidation, coercion into victims/ witnesses having no recourse, harassment, public glorification of murder and terrorist activities are just the start of things we feel you are committing with the production of this film.

Please do not attempt to glorify and romanticize the slaughter of our loved ones, “Pros and Cons”? There are none…its just mere horror, terror, murder and the grossest injustice to all victims of the SF/IRA Terror!
