Earth Day Appeal 2015 - It Doesn`t Take a Million Environmental Activists To Make a Change…

April 16, 2015 - PRLog -- April 22nd is closing in on us and it is time to re-think what Earth Day could mean to each and every one of us. The world`s concern towards global environmental issues is growing and concrete measure have been taken to reduce CO2 - but there is a long way ahead of us.

Instead of focusing on what keeps us from doing everything the same way we used to do, we should look at all the things that motivate us to change little things in our lives. Here are just a few thoughts that make me want to re-evaluate, get up and make a change:

- Reducing our carbon footprint can mean as little as walking, biking or hybrid vehicles
- Recycling a single aluminium can would run a TV for hours
- Every ton of paper that is recycled saves around 17 trees
- Our food & meals come from a minimum of 1,500 miles away; eat locally (and organic) grown food to reduce the carbon footprint of shipping and maintain local farmlands
- Solar panel installations are trendy and useful in a long term to save on energy costs
- Bike share and car share programmes are good for your purse and the environment

So, what is it that is still keeping you from making up your mind about going GREEN(er)?
Decide to do just little changes first that are achievable and you will see it's amazing how a change in perspective can gradually transform your way of living. Let us be honest - it is only ourselves who are keeping us from admitting that “I Am A Change Maker”.
