By: Bayou ‘n Brooklyn Music Festival Return guests will be expecting top-notch headliners, and the 2015 engagement is poised to deliver. Grammy nominee Yvette Landry will be showcasing her voice - which according to Bill Bently "can get grown men into trouble." Gina Forsyth, a New Orleans-based singer songwriter is scheduled as well, and her reputation as one of the best Cajun fiddlers in Louisiana is sure to please. Cajun musician Jesse Lege rounds out the top-billings as Bayou 'n Brooklyn's official ambassador of Lousiana music and culture. The whole shendig is set to kick off with dance hall music at Jalopy Theater on May 8th (8:30PM). Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased by visiting the festival's official website. After being inspired by Cajun fiddler David Greely, Monlux became a prominent player in introducing Cajun, Creole and Zydeco music to Brooklyn, NY audiences. The festival is sponsored in part by the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by the Brooklyn Arts Council and Abita Brewing Company.
