Pope Zeigler Announces Name Change to Pope Flynn

COLUMBIA, S.C. - April 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Pope Zeigler, a public finance and governmental law firm with offices in Columbia, Charlotte, and Spartanburg, has changed its corporate name to Pope Flynn following the departure of one of the firm's founding members, Belton Zeigler.

Pope Flynn will be led by a management committee comprised of three of its members – Joe Lucas, Matt Davis and Lawrence Flynn. Lucas has more than 25 years of experience in public finance and development finance, representing cities and counties, banks and underwriters, hospitals, colleges and universities, secondary schools and non-profit organizations. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America^© for Public Finance Law every year since 2005 and received recognition from Best Lawyers^© as Lawyer of the Year in Public Finance Law for the Charlotte area in 2015. Davis has 15 years of experience in public finance, serving as bond counsel and counsel to underwriters and banks, with a focus on K-12 education, higher education, and general governmental and land-based transactions. Flynn has eight years of experience in public finance, serving as bond counsel and counsel to underwriters and banks on transactions for cities, counties, school districts and special purpose districts throughout South Carolina. Flynn also serves as general counsel to several municipalities in South Carolina.
