NASHVILLE, Tenn. - April 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Chloé Caroline, a self-described California Country girl, released her debut EP, One Left Standing, on Tuesday, March 31 on The Engine 360, via TuneCore. The EP includes five original songs produced and mixed in Nashville, and Los Angeles.

Chloé Caroline was chosen for the coveted position as an iTunes Featured Artist alongside the multi-platinum Darius Rucker, and Grammy winner Shelby Lynne. The TuneCore New Music Tuesday series also selected to feature her alongside other successful artists in their weekly blog. “I am so humbled and excited to see my EP next to my heroes on the front page of iTunes,” says Caroline.

Her album is a sample of hundreds of songs walking the line between the Country and Pop genres in her repertoire. Caroline grew up in Manhattan Beach surrounded by a musical family. Her broad influences vary from the Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain, to Colbie Caillat and Michelle Branch.

“I like to call it California Country,“ said Caroline. “It’s what I love to write--it comes naturally because my roots are in California. I listen to a lot of country, but because of my dad we had a ton of cool music playing in our house.” Caroline writes all her own songs, a rare occurrence in the country music world.  She says the good ones just spill out of her. “I really like to story-tell over simple chords. I’m all about catchy. I want it to get stuck in your head,” said Caroline.

In addition to her EP release, Caroline has also landed her first major film credit, a song on the end credits of Steven Herek’s (“Mr. Holland’s Opus”) “The Great Gilly Hopkins”, coming in the fall. Not stopping there, she teamed up with Dixie Chicks’ hit-maker, Eric Silver to write the main title for the musical “Esperanza Rising”. Following her passion to become a great writer, Caroline moved to Nashville to pursue her musical career and attend Belmont University. “The talent in Nashville can be overwhelming, but it’s the most creative place I’ve ever lived,” says the songstress. “It pushes me to work harder every day.”

“Chloé has a tremendous work ethic, and a flare for lyrical writing that is turning heads,” said Lindsay Fellows, manager and father to the 21-year-old artist and also a Music Supervisor in Los Angeles with experience on films ranging from “Chronicles of Narnia” to “The Imitation Game”. “She’s grown up in entertainment and comes from a long line of family musicians and singers who have influenced her in the best way.”

Her EP, One Left Standing, is available on iTunes, Amazon, and all the streaming services.
