Indie Author Promotion Startup StarryKnight Word Slayers Sets To Raise US$1,648 through Crowdfunding

PITTSBURGH - April 2, 2015 - PRLog -- New Startup Starry Knight Word Slayers announced Monday that it will be launching a funding campaign using the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo effective March 30, 2015. The company is targeting to raise up to US$ 1,648 to launch its business online in the next two months. Company owner Starr Bryson has taken to the internet on a blog tour to promote the campaign.  Blog tours are a major way the company promotes books for self-published authors, gaining exposure through blogging and social media platforms.

Starry Knight Word Slayers expect to gain recognition beyond the local authors in Pittsburgh and widen its customer base. In addition to book promotion services, Starry Knight will be offering writing, editing, and social media management services. When asked why the company decided to go with crowdfunding, Starr Bryson was quoted as saying “. . . it’s people giving donations to be a part of something, and watch it grow from the ground up.”

Crowdfunding has become one of the faster ways to launch a company and enable investors and customers alike to invest in a product or service and become a part of the creation.
