The seminar included a mix of lectures, technical sessions, and case studies through interaction with the participants and practical training. Discussions revolved around how to handle CA-1 (traumatic Injury) and CA-2 (repetitive occupational disease) injuries, schedule awards, FMLA, CA-17 and others. The seminar focused on the role of the injury worker when an on the job injury occurs. In addition, it helped clarify the role of DOL FECA OWCP and the role of injury comp office. The event was an opportunity for the union members to discuss concerns and suggestions by the attendees.
