Street Art Phoenix Takes Over Shade Gallery

PHOENIX - March 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Shade Projects is excited to present Street Art Phoenix featuring an incredible group exhibition of some of our valley's most talented muralists on display in Shade Gallery at the monOrchid. Street Art Phoenix features nine dynamic street street artists including Andy Brown, Tato Caraveo, Lalo Cota, Thomas Breeze Marcus, Douglas Miles, Jeff Slim, JB Snyder, Champ Styles and Such Styles. This exhibition will highlight nine diverse styles and an eclectic collection of subjects that are representative of each artist's style. Shade Projects Curator, Nicole Royse, says “Visitors will be able to enjoy an incredible collection of brand new artwork created specifically for this exhibition."

These talented artists are well known throughout our valley, exhibiting their artwork throughout country, featured in numerous publications and have been collected around the country. Their artwork can be found throughout the valley filling walls with color and life and they all recently participated in Paint PHX, which was a huge event inviting muralists from all over to create numerous new murals throughout downtown during Art Detour 27!

The Opening Reception will be held on First Friday, April 3rd, 2016 from 6pm until 10pm with the artists in attendance. The evening will also feature a special dance performance "40 Love Letters" by Grace Gallagher at 7 & 9pm held in the north gallery  free to the public. The Closing Artist Reception will be held Third Friday, April 17th from 7-10pm. Street Art Phoenix will be on display in Shade Gallery at the monOrchid from April 3rd until April 26th, 2015.

The monOrchid is located at 214 E. Roosevelt Street in the heart of Phoenix's downtown Roosevelt Row Arts District. The building is open daily and the exhibition may be viewed during business hours.
