GRANDSON, Switzerland - Feb. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Designed for outdoors enthusiasts, the SparrowHawk is assembled with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a surgical 316L steel case water-resistant to 10 bar. The 2011 version featured a 3 year quartz chronograph module designed by Seiko Instruments from Chiba, Japan.

To increase time between battery changes, Techné switched to a 5 year quartz chronograph module designed by the Citizen Group from Nishitokyo, Japan. When subjected to shocks beyond the tested limit, the Miyota 0S20's circuitry prevents further damage and allows the wearer to re-calibrated the hands, even in the most remote locations of the planet.

This collection is available in brushed finishing and matte black PVD. Prices range from USD 305 on British 66-13 military straps to USD 335 on skin-friendly rubber straps. The SparrowHawk II can be purchased from selected Techné resellers (http://www.technewatches.com/index.php?id=resellers), or on the official Techné online store.

ABOUT TECHNÉ

Techné represents a return to the fundamental virtues of a watch: reliable accuracy, legibility under extreme conditions and rugged protection from the elements. The word techné is Ancient Greek for “manufacturing know-how”.

All Techné watches are characterised by a contrasting dial that is especially easy to read under extreme conditions and are manufactured to Swiss standards with high-grade materials such as surgical stainless steel, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal or tempered glass.

Techné watches are designed by VANTGARD, a family-owned company based in Grandson, in the Swiss Watch Valley that stretches across Geneva, the Jura mountains and Basel. The watches are assembled in Asia with Japan and Swiss parts to maintain competitive retail prices.
