​Power Production Management Selected to Inaugural Gator100

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Feb. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Power Production Management (PPM) was named to the University of Florida’s inaugural 2015 Gator100 during a ceremony at UF’s J. Wayne Reitz Union Grand Ballroom.

Sponsored by UF, the Warrington College of Business Administration and the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, the Gator100 recognizes the 100 fastest-growing businesses owned or led by UF alumni.  Ernst & Young calculated each company’s compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past three years to generate the ranking.

PPM was ranked 27th of 100 with a CAGR of 59.1%

PPM is a full-service solar contractor headquartered in Gainesville, FL. Since beginning operations in 2009, PPM has installed nearly 200 solar arrays, both residential and commercial. The company was co-founded by Alex Khokhlov and Jason Gonos, a UF Mechanical Engineering 2005 alumnus.

Gonos did not begin his entrepreneurial experience with PPM. During his last year of college, he started his first business in the indoor air quality field. After gaining this valuable experience and meeting new people in the industry, he became more interested in the area of solar power.

PPM currently employs three additional UF alumni. PPM has recently begun expanding operations outside of Florida, investing effort in developing solar projects in Colorado, North Carolina, Washington D.C. and Jamaica.
