Follow on Google News | Army Veteran Launches New Communications Firm Targeting People in CrisisRetired Army Officer Uses Experiences in Crisis and Media Training to offer integrated public relations services to Defense, Industry and High-Profile Individuals
By: Troop Public Relations, LLC “I was driven to stand up my own company because I wanted to help magnify the voices of underrepresented individuals and organizations,” “The firm’s name is a tribute and daily reminder that speaks to the bond I have with my fellow service members, past and present. I loved serving my country and the name Troop Public Relations is a testament of the character traits the military instilled in me. Core values such as: loyalty, dedication, respect, selflessness, honest, integrity, and courage are the building blocks of my firm,” said Vines. Troop Public Relations is a PR firm that will always service the needs of people in uniform. Its dedicated team of PR professionals understands the military culture and other uniformed professions. Troop Public Relations is the Service member’s public affairs office. It provides civilian PR counsel to service members in partnership with civilian defense counsel. During Vines’ combined 29-year career as an Army officer and Defense Consultant, she has been the spokesperson for large and small military organizations, including General Officers and Soldiers. Her military career culminated at the Pentagon as the lead for the Personnel Team within the Media Relations Division of the Office of the Chief of Public Affairs. Other aspects of Vines’ background include her service at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where she was the top spokesperson for the Detainee mission at GTMO. She was also the Director of Public Relations (Division Public Affairs Officer) for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. At Fort Campbell, Vines (then Lt. Col. Hart) oversaw the operation of the post's weekly newspaper, an internal community television station and facilitated local and national media engagements. It was at Fort Campbell that she planned and engaged the news media as the spokesperson during the crisis that involved the soldier-on-soldier murder of Private Barry Winchell. Private Winchell was the perceived-gay Soldier whose tragedy sparked the nation's Gays in the Military debate. She also performed at the Deputy Chief of Army Protocol at the Pentagon, planning ceremonies and special events for the Army top leadership and 4-star general officers. “I am thrilled to launch Troop Public Relations and be able to use the experience and expertise I honed throughout my years of military service. It’s an honor to be able to build a team of professional that will help clients get through their crisis situations,” “Most of all, I’m humbled by all of the support I’ve received from my Veteran family, clients and friends who’ve cheered my new career.” End
