Follow on Google News | Roche’s pharmaceutical unit posts strong sales for 2014By: NAPSRx Medicines for HER2-positive breast cancer (+20%) were substantial contributors to the sales growth including new products such as Perjeta and Kadcyla. Sales of immunology medicines continued to grow based on the demand for Actemra/RoActemra (+23%) for rheumatoid arthritis and Xolair (+25%) for chronic hives and allergic asthma. Additional contributors include Avastin (+6%) and sales of Tamiflu significantly increased as a result of the flu epidemic in the US. With such industry leaders posting gains in profitability, they will need both certified and qualified individuals to promote their diversified product portfolio.
