JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jan. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Were someone to ask the RED Marketing Solutions team when they will be content with their company growth, they would likely get blank stares. As Renee explained it, the whole organization firmly believes that continued innovation and expansion are necessary in order to avoid falling behind competitors. As such, every year they set new and increasingly ambitious objectives for themselves.

“I am so happy to have such a driven group,” exclaimed Renee. “It has always been my belief that success requires giving 100% every day. That I have been able to make a team out of so many people who share this opinion is one of the highlights of my career.”

The group has an in-depth goal setting procedure that helps them to plan out their ambitions, she continued. One of the central aspects of this, Renee indicated, is writing effective goals. “To be useful, anything we hope to accomplish should follow the S.M.A.R.T. framework,” she explained. “All of our stated objectives are specific, measurable, action-focused, realistic, and timely. Basically this means if we set out to do something, we should be certain exactly how to do it and when it is complete. As such we avoid words like more and improve.”

She added that they also write down and publicly post all of their goals. This accomplishes two ends: the entire office is always on the same page and it adds motivation to meet every objective. Finally, Renee pointed out that goals do not necessarily have to be solely growth focused. Typically RED Marketing Solutions’ yearly aspirations fall into four categories: service, or those related to customer satisfaction; social, or anything focused on giving back to the community; profit, or annual bottom-line expectations; and growth, or any business expansion objectives.

Renee continued to discuss how her team goes about ensuring that they reach their annual objectives. “The biggest thing is simply writing effective goals,” she said. “Of course, there are a few tricks that you can use to improve your chances even more.”

One of these ideas Renee suggested was to visualize how things would be different after achieving a goal. This provides added motivation as well as insight into the steps that need to be taken in order to reach those ends. She also indicated that simply planning out how to reach goals is extremely useful.

“It’s hard to take that first step,” she explained. “If you give yourself some little tasks to tackle one by one, it becomes much easier to build momentum. Achieving your ambitions is actually fairly easy if you go about setting and addressing goals in the right way!”
