Vegas Pet Expo Expands to Two-Day Format; Features TANKED, PIT BOSS and CNN’s Hero of the Year

LAS VEGAS - Jan. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Amazing Pet Expos debuts its first ever two-day show in Las Vegas at the Cashman Center on February 7^th and 8^th. New to the official lineup this year are the stars from Animal Planet’s TANKED! Wayde King, Brett Raymer, and Irwin Raymer along with their crew from Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (ATM) are on hand for both days in order to sign autographs, take photos, and meet with fans. The Vegas Pet Expo also features returning spokesperson Shorty Rossi, of Pit Boss fame, on Saturday where he, too, will interact with his fans and educate about Breed Specific Legislation and his work with Pit Bulls across the country.

“We’re excited to be part of the Vegas Pet Expo this year!”says Irwin Raymer, featured star of TANKED, “We’ve received so much attention from our work - We’re just happy with what we do for people and that things are going well.” An extra-special treat will be at the Vegas Pet Expo with the stars – an ATM-built tank on display for both days for attendees to view throughout the expo. ATM has built tanks for A-list celebrities like Neil Patrick Harris, Shaquille O’Neil, and Traci Morgan.

The exposition will also introduce Penn Farthing, CNN’s 2014 Hero of the Year Recipient, for his work reuniting soldiers with the stray animals they befriended while in Afghanistan, as well as Tika the Singing Parrot from America’s Got Talent. The two-day format was added to accommodate all of the new entertainment aspects added to the event and to continue to reach more people, making an even larger impact in each community and further enhancing educational opportunities.

“We’ve received so many requests from exhibitors and attendees over the years about moving to a larger two-day show in order to reach more people and make a larger impact,” says Ethan Barnett, Vice President of Community Partnerships for Amazing Pet Expos, “A huge part of our initiative is to help people become better pet companions, and we felt that the addition of the extra day really helps with that. We’re so ecstatic to expand our format to further benefit local pet communities across the country. We can’t wait to unveil all of the exciting additions in 2015.”

The event is open to the public on Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 11am to 4pm. The Vegas Pet Expo also features opportunities for attendees to explore nearly 200 exhibitors, K9 obstacle courses, education about exotic animals, and a Petfinder.com mega-adoption area with more than 300 rescue pets available for adoption. Low-cost immunizations, discounted microchipping and free nail trims are available for all the furry friends who need them.

This free, indoor and air-conditioned event attracts more than 20,000 attendees along with their furry, feathered and reptilian pals who are looking to enjoy a new and one-of-a-kind experience where all pets can enjoy a fun day or two out with their pet parent(s). All well-behaved pets are welcome, as long as they’re on a fixed lead (or in a carrier) and have proof of age-appropriate rabies vaccines.
