HOUSTON - Jan. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- (Texas,USA – Jan 9th 2014) – Today, the US Trade Bureau and International Accreditation Corporate Network (IAOCN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) stressing the importance of implementing fair trade across the globe. As per the memorandum, IAOCN will announce suppliers credible for trade activities after evaluating them on IAOCN’s stringent preliminary accreditation system.

Over the last few years, several countries including China, Mexico and some from Gulf region have increased their selling activities in US. While, US buyers are willingly accepting their products because of low prices and good quality, the ratio of fraudulent activities have also increased at a phenomenal rate. Last year alone, over 1000 fraud cases were reported against Chinese suppliers. Other countries also follow similar fraudulent ratios. Such scams are a cause for grave concern among US buyers.

Since US Trade Bureau works to promote safe trade activities between US and its global buyers, the organization decided to address the concern on immediate basis. As a result, USTB in alliance with a leading US based supplier inspection and accreditation body IAOCN decided to assess a few selected suppliers for free and grant them with preliminary accreditation.

“We view any attempt to deceive our importers and violate our intellectual property with the utmost concern and we will take aggressive legal action against anyone who is supplying without verified credentials. We will work with the appropriate verification bodies and authorities such as IAOCN to shut down all fraudulent trade activities,” said Valorie Turner, Executive Director of the US Trade Bureau. Initially, US Trade Bureau has selected 200 Suppliers of different products on the basis of a survey done comprising of over 100,000 registered US buyers. These suppliers will be evaluated on the basis of IAOCN stringent preliminary accreditation process and if cleared, will be announced as trustworthy and credible suppliers. The same status will be shared with US buyers.   “We are excited to have joined hands with this trusted organization that helps the trading forefront” said Aaron Wilson, Vice Chairman Accreditation IAOCN. “Organizations will now have access to information about verified suppliers that will guide them in the selection of their services provider and create safer, more productive trade”   About US Trade Bureau: The Trade Bureau is the joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations.
