The changes are best described as subtle, but should be enough to keep it competitive against its core rival, the BMW X3.
By: Audi Meanwhile, the existing 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine gets a slight increase in output of 8bhp, taking its maximum power to 178bhp - similar to the diesel unit that is now available in either 148bhp or 181bhp forms. The least powerful of the diesel models now manages to return 61.4mpg (an improvement of 7mpg) whilst CO2 emissions have been reduced to 119g/km, down 18g/km. The revisions externally are minor, and include a new 3D effect single-frame grille, revised bumpers and a fresh range of alloy wheels. The revised headlamps now feature xenon bulbs as standard, alongside LED daytime running lights and restyled LED rear lamps. S-Line trimmed models get full LED headlights. Drivers now have the ability to tweak steering weighting and throttle response via Audi’s Drive Select adaptive dynamics system which is now fitted as standard across the range. Adaptive dampers are available as an optional extra. SE-spec cars now get revised sports seats and a new-style steering wheel. S-Line models add a powered assisted tailgate, whilst a sports suspension is a no-cost option. It sits on 19-inch alloy wheels. Externally, it is enhanced by tinted windows and metallic paint whilst inside it now features a revised satellite navigation system, tinted windows, perforated leather trim, cruise control and a parking guidance system. The Q3 starts from £25,340 for the 1.4 TFSI SE and rises to £30,820 for the range-topping versions. The more fuel efficient Q3 is now classified as an Eco Car (CO2 0-130g/km) on ecocars4sale.com and goes on sale in January with deliveries expected to start during the spring.
