Class Action Lawsuit Seeking Overtime Pay Filed Against JVA Industries, Inc. by Former Carpenter

NEW YORK - Dec. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Jose A. Torres Lopez filed his Class & Collective Action Complaint in the Southern District of NY on December 18, 2014 and is represented by Michael Redenburg, Esq. According to the Complaint, Mr. Torres Lopez was not paid overtime pay at one and one half his regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty in a workweek. He also attached to his Complaint as an exhibit, paystubs provided by his former employer which clearly show instances where he worked more that 40 hours per week without receiving overtime pay.

Mr. Torres Lopez is seeking to represent all current and former Carpenters that currently work for, or have worked for JVA Industries, Inc. within the last six (6) years in the state of New York. Mr. Torres Lopez also asks the Court to tap his counsel of record, Michael J. Redenburg, Esq. as class counsel to represent other current and former Carpenters who work for, or have worked for JVA Industries, Inc. within the last six (6) years. The lawsuit seeks recovery of all unpaid overtime compensation wrongfully withheld in violation of federal and state law, liquidated damages, attorneys' fees and costs and expenses incurred in the filing of the lawsuit.
