Geist Asia win Product Application Award for Geist Upgradeable

Dec. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- December 18, 2014- Geist won the Product Application Award at the China Data Center Committee Annual Awards Conference which were held on November 28^th at Beijing. The award was granted for the Geist Upgradeable™ deployment at the Studio City Casino and Hotel in Macau. This project, which is due for completion in early 2015, comprises a data centre that consists of two hundred and thirty racks and incorporates four hundred and fifty Geist Upgradeable PDUs.

The Geist Upgradeable unit is an innovative solution that offers scalable monitoring features. It can be installed initially as a basic power strip and upgraded at a later point to include power monitoring capabilities. The upgradeability feature is achieved by using an Interchangeable Monitoring Device (IMD) which is hot-swappable and can be changed without interrupting power to critical servers. The unit is supported by an industry-leading five year warranty that covers both the power strip and the IMDs. This product has been third party tested to ANSI and IEC standards, confirming its accuracy to within 1% for power, voltage, frequency and temperature readings.
