Diabetes Tools on 2014’s Global Digital Health 100 list

Dec. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- The Swedish medtech firm Diabetes Tools is named in the Global Digital Health 100, an awards list recognising the 100 most innovative mobile and digital healthcare companies in the world during 2014 issued by the Journal of mHealth.

Diabetes Tools, the makers of the TriabetesClinic online diabetes decision support service and Triabetes self-care smartphone app, is the only Swedish company to be featured on the list.

“Using apps and web interfaces to change how diabetes healthcare is delivered is what this company is all about,” said Diabetes Tools’ Chief Executive Officer Anders Weilandt. “To be selected as one of the 100 most innovative mobile health companies in the world is an honour our team is delighted to accept.”

The Journal of mHealth compiled the Global Digital Health 100 list to reflect the evolving importance of mobile technologies and digital solutions in the healthcare sector. According to the journal’s announcement on 8 December 2014, the awards represent six months of research by the editorial team who considered the offerings and innovations from over 1,500 different mobile and digital health companies worldwide before they selected the final 100.
