Lakewood College Expresses Gratitude to Their Students

Nov. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- “Sometimes we focus so much on what we don't have that we fail to see, appreciate, and use what we do have!”
― Jeff Dixon

Author of Living in Gratitude, Angeles Arrien states that gratitude is essentially the recognition of the unearned increments of value in one’s experience—the acknowledgment of the positive things that come our way that we did not actively work toward or ask for. The connection to the concept of gifts is a natural one. The Latin root of the word gratitude is grata or gratia—a given gift—and from this same root we get our word grace, which means a gift freely given that is unearned.

With the thanksgiving season approaching, there are a lot of things/people that one can be thankful for.  Lakewood College would like to express gratitude to all students and alumni for their hard work and support for the institution. Lakewood College is truly thankful to have a student population which demonstrates pride, dedication and determination.

Success Coach Alysia says, “I work with the same students for the duration of their program. I love our initial conversation when they first start at Lakewood College. I love learning about my students and their goals so I can help them create a plan for success. My favorite part about being a Success Coach is watching my students reach their goals of graduation.”

“Gratitude is the key to opening all doors.”
