NEW YORK - Nov. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Rishon has filed his Amended Complaint in federal court to add the names of the individual defendant officers that were recently provided by counsel for the defendants in the civil case 14-cv-4247. Causes of action include unlawful search and seizure, false arrest, failure to intervene, unreasonable force and a claim against the City of New York.

Allegations Contained Within the Amended Complaint

In the afternoon of May 21, 2014, Rishon was in the vicinity of Pitkin Avenue and Mother Gaston Blvd., Brooklyn, NY and leaving a Family Dollar store where he had purchased some items. Once he exited the store, he was grabbed by an NYPD Detective and thrown against a wall. His legs were kicked to cause them to be spread apart, which caused him great pain and discomfort. He was then frisked and searched which revealed that Rishon did not have any weapons or contraband on his person.

Rishon was arrested and charged with a drug related criminal offense and taken to the 73rd precinct. He was then transported to Brooklyn Central Booking where he was eventually notifed that his case was being DP'd because the Kings County District Attorney's Office was declining to prosecute the case. He subsequently filed a false arrest lawsuit.

Michael J. Redenburg, Esq. represents Rishon and is currently representing over twenty (20) other victims who allege similar police misconduct.
