Hedgepeth, Heredia, Crumrine & Morrison Taps Lara Schuster as Associate

Family law firm Hedgepeth, Heredia, Crumrine & Morrison (www.hhcmfamilylaw.com) today announced that Lara Schuster has joined the firm as an associate.

“Lara’s extensive experience in the practice of family law makes her a valuable addition to our team,” said HHCM managing partner Hannibal Heredia.

The Marietta native is a member of the Family Law Sections of the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in all state and superior courts in Georgia as well as the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, U.S. District Court (Northern District of Georgia), and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Prior to practicing at HHCM, Lara served as staff attorney to the Honorable Jackson Harris, Chief Judge of the Cherokee County Superior Court. She assisted in updating that court’s policies and procedures for domestic relations cases, and she co-wrote a successful U.S. Department of Justice grant for creation of an accountability court.

Since 2011, Lara has served as the Treasurer and Webmaster of the Blue Ridge Bar Association, Cherokee County’s local bar association. She is also a member of the Cobb County Bar Association.

Schuster received her JD, cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 2009. During law school, Schuster served as a notes editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law, represented clients in the Family Violence Clinic, worked as a research assistant to a family law textbook author, and clerked for the Georgia Court of Appeals.

She graduated summa cum laude from Tulane University in 2006 with a bachelor of arts in classical studies and a bachelor of science in psychology. While in college, she worked for the Cobb County Superior Court and the Cobb County Juvenile Court.

Schuster lives in the Marietta neighborhood of Atlanta.
