Bob Loomer Joins StationSmarts

Fire Services Veteran to Provide Strategic Leadership in Community Relations, Training and Product Development

IPSWICH, Mass. - Oct. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- StationSmarts, a comprehensive risk management solution for fire departments, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Loomer to spearhead business development and training. In this role, Loomer is responsible for building relationships within the fire services community, responding to the unique challenges each department has in using StationSmarts to make their job safer and easier, and helping to develop intuitive products that support a seamless records management solution for fire services.

“Bob’s extensive education and more than 40 years of experience in fire services will be extremely valuable to us as we continue to develop a responsive and seamless risk management solution for fire services,” said Dave Rocco, CEO of StationSmarts. “As a former Fire Chief, he understand the challenges small- to mid-sized fire departments face every day. And through his work with the Massachusetts Fire Academy, he has gained extensive training and program development experience. We are thrilled to have him on board.”

Loomer is nationally certified as a fire officer level IV, a certified fire inspector and a nationally certified fire instructor. In 2012, he retired as Chief of the Wayland Fire Department, where he successfully advanced the department’s emergency medical services delivery model to the paramedic level and implemented a fire service based, regional approach to providing advanced life-support services. Shortly after retiring, Loomer was chosen to coordinate the Chief Fire Officer Training Program for the Massachusetts Fire Academy. He also served as interim Fire Inspector with the Maynard Fire Department, where he helped advise StationSmarts in the development of its robust inspections module.
