Amsterdam – October 13, 2014: Yoin-Vision is a unique cloud platform that provides video analysis. A new funding round has been launched on Angel.co to help people participate in driving the company’s research and technology further.

Yoin-Vision is used to analyze people for their age, gender, and overall mood. It is commonly used for narrow casting systems for the purpose of adjusting marketing approaches. The analysis is done in real-time and the reports are delivered through a private web portal.

There is no software installation required for Yoin-Vision to be used. Customers will simply connect and pay a monthly fee that is comparable to a mobile phone.

The technology itself analyzes characteristics of the human face, emotion, head pose, mood, and other features. It will help to make estimations of the composition of a crowd, such as the kind of crowd that enters a storefront during a certain date and time. “We have found that customers want more detailed information regarding demographic and Yoin-Vision has been able to revolutionize the way the data is obtained because of real-time analysis as well as accurate analyses of groups,” comments Hans Jong, founder of Yoin-Vision.

The tech company is looking to raise a total of $500,000 with a cap of $4 million. The funding will go towards additional technological research. The goal of the system is to make it future-proof and base it on cloud computing. Co-founder, Pieter Jong, comments “We can design the technology to scale and allow for unlimited camera connections. The possibilities of Yoin-Vision within crowd research are almost limitless.”

There is currently a 3-stage model in place for sales. This ranges from starter to premium based upon a per camera subscription. A 3-year contract is in place and the analysis is done on the cloud servers.

Yoin-Vision presented at the last European Attraction Show in Amsterdam and received a total of 30 leads. “Customers are seeing the potential in the product and have their own implementation ideas within the market. It is highly flexible and the ability to measure crowds in waiting lines, attraction parks, and more are incredible,” comments Pieter Jong.

The system is not only responsible for seeing and accurately collecting information, but also acting upon the information that is received. Yoin-Vision will be able to recognize a visitor, identify the target group, and then respond accordingly. This includes showing advertising or other information relevant to that group. This can help marketing groups as well as industries that cater to the public, including those where various demographics are encompassed in one location.
