Screening of Diploma Films of the first batch of Creative Documentary course at SACAC

NEW DELHI - Oct. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication, New Delhi is all set to host the screening of diploma films filmed by the first batch of Creative Documentary (filmmaking) course. The screening of eight films of average duration twenty minutes will be held on October 13, 2014. The schedule of the screening is as follows:

10.30am - Opening
10.45am - Khoj by Akshika Chandna (18min)

11.30am - Secret Windows by Ansh Ranvir Vohra (20min)

12.15pm - Maine Dilli Nahin Dekha (I Am Yet To See Delhi) by Humaira Bilkis (19min)

One hour break for lunch

2pm - Distant Whispers by Rachita Singh Fogat (15min)

2.45pm - Raah by Radhika Fatania (19min)

3.30pm - Panchvati by Satendra Singh (18min)

20 min break for tea

4.45pm - Koi Dekhne Wala Hai? by Shilpi Saluja (18min)

5.15pm - Saatvin Khwahish (The Seventh Wish) by Varhun Trikha (27min)

The Creative Documentary Course at Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts & Communication (SACAC), New Delhi has been envisioned as an intensive filmmaking course with an integrated approach that opens out the world of cinema to students, enabling them to engage strongly with filmmaking. Over the 12 months, students engage in a rigorous exploration that entails intensive work with one primary goal - that of being in touch with themselves and of searching for their own voice. The pedagogy works with the belief that all narratives, themes and subjects have been addressed by someone, somewhere, sometime. True originality lies in the filmmaker’s own perspective, her/his own unique position, reflections and perceptions.

Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts & Communication (SACAC) is an autonomous non-profit institute for creative learning in arts and media communication. Started in 2003 as a unit of Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry, SACAC is a multi-disciplinary institute that offers diploma programmes in Advertising & Public Relations (IMC), Photography, Audio Engineering & Music Production and Creative Documentary (Filmmaking).
