Sub-Saharan Africa’s leading energy group Oando, use EMEX to automate their EHS

LAUSANNE, Switzerland - Oct. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Sub-Saharan Africa’s leading energy group, Oando, select EMEX to automate their Environmental, Health and Safety programmes.

Lausanne, Switzerland, October 9th, 2014 - EMEX, the worldwide EHSQ and Sustainability software group has been selected by Oando to deliver the software automation for their safety infrastructure across the group.

The EMEX platform is being implemented to support the group’s long term sustainability objectives against a backdrop of record safety achievements that include more than 4 million rig man hours without an LTI (Lost Time Incident).

Oando will use EMEX to entirely automate their EHS data capture processes and expedite incident notification and investigation processes enabling them to maintain a single line-of-sight across the organisation.  Risk and Audit Management will also be greatly simplified and will incorporate automatic risk-scoring as well as the delivery of robust audit schedules.  The EMEX Business Intelligence suite will enable the delivery of personalised dashboards throughout the business to ensure executives have access to a real-time picture of the company’s safety status.

Key Facts/ Technical Highlights

·         Key functionality;  Oando are initially adopting a number of the core modules within the EMEX suite of products including Incident & Event Management, Risk and Audit Management, Corrective and Preventative Actions, Regulatory Control and Business Intelligence.

·         Implementation timeline;  A key decision criteria that drove the selection of EMEX as the vendor of choice was the need to have the initial modules implemented within a very short period of time.  EMEX’s highly responsive approach to implementation ensured that Oando went live with the Incident module within 3 months of contract completion and are currently rolling out the remaining modules.

·         Technical;  The EMEX platform is being delivered under a Software as a Service model which guarantees outstanding software uptimes and offers complete redundancy and disaster recovery.
