SDMC To Unveil New Quad Core H.265 Decoding Hybrid Set-top Box

Oct. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Shenzhen SDMC Technology will unveil a new quad core H.265 hardware decoding hybrid set top box which includes both H.265 high efficiency video coding, quad core processors, support HbbTV, Novel-Super TV and Conax.

The set-top box model number is DV7904-T2/S2/IS, which implies that this quad core H.265 hardware decoding hybrid set top box can full compliant with DVB-T2, DVB-S2 or DVB-ISDB.

It will be powered by Android 4.4 operation system, quad-core processor supported by ARM quad core Mali-450 graphics and supported by 512M DDR3L RAM and MLC 4G Flash. Enabling the DV7904-T2/S2/IS to support 1080P HD video playback as well as hardware 3D graphics acceleration and H.265 video decoding and H.264 video encoding. SDMC also offers additional options in DRAM and Flash. DRAM can be upgrade to 1G or 2G and Flash can be upgrade to 8G, 16G or even 32G. The price would differed a little in different choices.

Other features of the DV7904-T2/S2/IS  include 2 x USB 2.0 ports, dual band Wi-Fi, IR in and IR out IEC connector , DRM (Vermatrix, Playready, Widewine) and multi-screen technology (Miracast, DLNA, Airplay). Multi-screen technology will enable users to mirror screens between televisions and mobile devices while supporting DRM can ensure the illegal use of video content of protect TV operators’ benefits.
