DC Crowdfunding Challenge Series Start - October 7, 2014

WASHINGTON - Oct. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- The DC Crowdfunding Challenge Series will host a free event on Tuesday, October 7th at 6:00-8:30 PM at R.I.S.E., 2730 Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave., SE, Washington, D.C. 20032. The event is open to the public at no cost. Small businesses are encouraged to attend.

WHAT'S UP?

The District of Columbia government has partnered with National Crowdfunding Services, LLC (NCS) to pilot crowdfunding for local small businesses. One of the businesses presenting at the event will be:

The C.A.T. WALK is an upscale clothing boutique offering designs, shoes and accessories that serve women who want something other than cookie-cutter attire. C.A.T. Walk will use funds from the Challenge to crowdfund designs from emerging local designers. These would include carefully vetted and selected designs from local fashion design students at the high school and college level.
