Post Production Workflow for Gone Girl! At LAPPG’s October Meeting - Presented by HP

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Sept. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- The Los Angeles Post Production Group (LAPPG) is honored to showcase the post production workflow for the soon to be released feature film, Gone Girl at their October 8th Meeting at 7pm at Crossroads School in Santa Monica.

One of the most well-respected industry organizations, the LAPPG meets monthly and is a resource for educational presentations on technology, techniques and all things related to TV and Filmmaking. The organization is open to content creators, filmmaking professionals and post production enthusiasts worldwide and provides valuable networking opportunities to help members further their career goals.

This workflow presentation will take place less than a week from the release of the feature film, David Fincher’s latest. Gone Girl, starring Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, employed the most advanced technical workflows of any film ever produced to date. Gone Girl marks the first 6K real-time review pipeline in any feature film production.

Thanks to HP, LAPPG members, filmmaking professionals and enthusiasts will have the opportunity to meet Gone Girl post production engineer, Jeff Brue and assistant editor, Tyler Nelson as they discuss the challenges of shooting in 6K on the RED Dragon camera and the streamlined workflow featuring Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC powered by HP Z Workstations with Intel® Xeon® processors and NVIDIA Next-Gen Quadro GPUs.

After the presentation and networking session, attendees will have the opportunity to see the latest addition to the Atomos line of Recorders-Monitors-Playback Decks, the 4K Shogun fresh from the IBC show in Amsterdam.
