Xavier technologies On Track with Combo Connector

LEOMINSTER, Mass. - Sept. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Since the development of the J1772 combo connector, in 2012, by the SAE (Society of Auto Engineers) as the U.S. standard for EV DC fastcharging, it has been adopted by the three major domestic automakers (Chrysler, Ford, General Motors) and the five major automakers from Germany (Audi, BMW, Daimler, Porsche, & Volkswagen) as their standard.

Companies such as GOe3, NRG/eVgo, UGO stations, & CarChargingGroup are building charging stations across the U.S. and charger manufacturers such as ABB and several others are incorporating both the “combo connector” and the “chademo” (used by Nissan and Mitsubishi) into their chargers.

“We are offering this connector at a substantially lower price than the product that is presently on the market. We are able to do this because we are not a large corporation with stockholders to feed. This is not a big ticket item but it will help decrease the cost of doing an EV conversion for individuals and companies” says Denys Allard, owner and founder of Xavier technologies. He adds, “it has been some time since our initial announcement of this but it was a lengthy process to make sure that the material selection meets (or exceeds) the UL 2251 standard, secure the vendors, etc.” See details at: http://www.xaviertechnologies.com/J1772-combo-connector.html

About Xavier technologies

The company has had an online presence since 2002 and is all about alternatives in the areas of health, education, and energy. In addition to electric vehicle conversions, the company also designs and manufactures alternative energy systems for residential/commercial applications. The company also has several pages dedicated to alternative medicine on their website.

When it became apparent that electric was the future of the auto industry, the company transitioned from fuel saving methods to EV conversions towards the end of 2009 knowing that a conversion is the only way to get an electric version of specific model vehicles. The company is now striving to open the first EV conversion/fastcharge center in Massachusetts and the first project of its kind in the U.S.
