Follow on Google News | Eight creative leaders will share ideas at TEDxTemecula that are shaping our community and the worldBy: TEDxTemecula Ideas start inside us. They become real when we let them out. And they can be great if we reach beyond barriers and limitations. That’s the theme of this year’s conference: “INSIDE OUT” “This year we're looking at our world from a different perspective,” Conference attendees will enjoy listening to speakers with ideas worth spreading in the fields of technology, agriculture, community, education, and more. Attendees will also have ample time to connect with speakers and other residents to explore the ideas presented, and to enjoy local food, wine, and entertainment during the event. TEDxTemecula is produced by an eclectic group of community minded Temecula Valley residents who are passionate about sharing the mission and experience of TED and TEDx with a local audience. TEDx events are independently organized events, licensed by TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design - Ideas Worth Spreading). TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to “ideas worth spreading.” It was created to be an inspiring platform for interesting thinkers to communicate what they are passionate about, untainted by corporate agendas. For tickets, visit http://www.TEDxTemecula.com, where you can also learn about the speakers, get event details, and find applications for sponsors, volunteers and attendees. Besides attending, the best way to ensure there will be more events like this in our community is to get involved and help spread the word. TEDxTemecula is active on social media through Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/ The TEDxTemecula team thanks you for your support and looks forward to a great event. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.) About TED TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California almost 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. The two annual TED Conferences invite the world's leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes on a diverse mix of topics. Many of these talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Isabel Allende and former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The TED2014 Conference takes place in Vancouver, British Columbia, along with the TEDActive simulcast in neighboring Whistler. TEDGlobal 2014 will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. TED's media initiatives include TED.com, where new TED Talks are posted daily; the Open Translation Project, which provides subtitles and interactive transcripts as well as translations from volunteers worldwide; the educational initiative TED-Ed; and TEDBooks, short e-books on powerful ideas. TED has established the annual TED Prize, where exceptional individuals with a wish to change the world get help translating their wishes into action; TEDx, which supports individuals or groups in hosting local, self-organized TED-style events around the world; and the TED Fellows program, helping world-changing innovators from around the globe to amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities.
