Notice of Claim Statements Rohan was walking and heading home in Queens, NY and carrying a clear cup which contained Ginger-ale, when he noticed two NYPD officers on bicycles pass by him. Soon thereafter, the government agents started following him and one came up beside him. The officer queried of Rohan what he was drinking, and Rohan responded that he was drinking juice. Next, the NYPD officer pulled his bicycle in front of Rohan and grabbed the soft-drink out of Rohan's hand. Thereafter, Rohan was pushed into a fence by an officer and another bicycling officer then punched Rohan in the stomach at least five times. Rohan was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. At arraignment, Rohan denied all of the charges, but his appointed attorney told him that the judge was tough, so he should just take the ACD. The charges levied against Rohan was adjourned in contemplation of dismissal. Rohan alleges that as a result of his arrest, he suffered an unlawful detention, loss of liberty, physical injuries, emotional distress, fear, anxiety, humiliation, embarrassment and damage to his reputation.
