Follow on Google News | Dental Playbox Puppets Were Stars of the Show at Stockport's National PlaydayBy: Action for Sick Children Approximately 400 children of varying ages and their parents and carers visited the children’s charity stand on the day to see how the Dental Playbox programme passes on vital dental care training to youngsters. “The turn-out was wonderful,” said Dental Playbox Project Manager Holly Dolman after the event. “We were inundated with inquiries and we were more than delighted to pass on tips and advice to all those who joined us.” As usual, it was the child-friendly performance of the Dental Playbox puppets that initially caught the attention of hundreds of children. And Playbox personnel were on hand to explain the value and ease of joining in on the courses. “There are so many children out there who could reap the benefit of the Dental Playbox Programme and our attendance at the National Playday event was a valuable opportunity for us to introduce ourselves to children and their parents and carers,” added Holly. Action for Sick Children’s Chief Executive Val Jackson, speaking from her Stockport HQ added:” We were delighted with the turnout on the day which gave use the opportunity to introduce ourselves to so many children. “The Dental Playbox Programme is a valuable means of helping young children learn the basics of dental care and oral hygiene which will benefit them for years to come. But above all, it’s great fun.” For further information about Action for Sick Children click onto: www.actionforsickchildren.org.uk ENDS End
