Obama authorizes ‘’targeted air strikes’ in Iraq to counter Militants

SATELLITE TOWN, Nigeria - Aug. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- President Barack Obama of the Unite States of America said on Thursday 8 August 2014 that he’s authorized ‘’targeted air strike’’ in Iraq to protect American personels and help Iraqi forces. President Obama claimed ‘’targeted air strike’ is a necessity to protecting their own people and reinforcing their allies who are in danger.

More than a dozen of American Consular Staff, Military advisers working with the Iraqi Military in Irbil, a Kurdish Iraqi region may be prone to attack by the Islamist Militants and this prompted President Obama to direct the Military to engage ‘targeted air strike’ should the Militants advance towards the Kurdish zone.

Humanitarian crisis is emerging with minority groups being slaughtered by Sunni Muslim extremist, thereby causing negative development on ground due to the rampaging activities of the Islamist fighters known as Islamic state of Iraq and Syria or ISIS. Thousand of families from the Yazidi minority extract are trapped in the mountain without food, water, no medical care.

Many Iraqi Christians now refugees flee their city Qaraqosh which is now occupied by Islamic fighters who gave the Christians an ultimatum either to ‘’become Muslims or die’’. The  Obama’s authorized air strike  is thereby aimed if necessary to reinforce Iraqi forces, protect trapped civilians on the mountain . President Obama said that the US cannot turn a blind eye when innocent people face violence on a horrific scale on that mountain, which the Iraqi government has requested our aid which gave us a mandate to help with our robust capabilities to avoid a massacre, I believe it is necessary we engage carefully and responsively to prevent a potential act of genocide.

White house spokesman cleared the air that the US is not making plan to engage land soldiers since Obama pulled out their soldiers from Iraq 2 years ago. Obama said military action in Iraq is worrisome to many Americans and as the commander in chief, the American military has not much solution to the real Iraqi crisis and would not allow  the US Military to be involved into Iraqi war, but instead they strategically support the Iraqi forces to take the fight up with the terrorist. The US Military aircraft has airdropped foods, water in Iraq, they sent humanitarian aids to the trapped minority groups.

  Iraqi Forces repels attacks from the Islamist.

On Thursday night, according to  a reliable source, two ISIS Emirs died from air strikes  by Iraqi air forces. The US supports the Iraqi forces through intelligent gathering but does not engage in fighting. The radical Islamist fighters[ISIS] over the weekend invaded and seized the Iraqi town of Sinjar with armored vehicles and other military equipments they seized from the Iraqi forces earlier this year causing Christian minority to flee to the mountain and now they are starving there. The UN estimated a total of 200,000 people fleeing towards Kurdistan since 2 days today who were displaced by the ISIS fighters, the fleeing are the Shiite Muslims, Turkmen and Shabak, all minority religious .

US secretary of state  John Kerry on Thursday night described it as ruthless thurggery, chaos, nihilism the acts of ISIS, he said this is a wake up call to all, he called on the world to come to the aid of thousands displaced starving Iraqis.

The UN resolve after an emergency meeting on Iraq crisis that it is a humanitarian crime for any one or group to attack any group, population just because of their diverse religion, culture, ethnic language, and that such evil perpetrators would be held responsible for their act. They called for the support of the Iraqi forces. According to a senior US state department official, we intend to open a humanitarian corridor that will shelter the Kurdish and the Iraqi forces displaced. Many refugees outside Irbil sleeps in parking lots, uncompleted buildings without food and water. The Kurdish officials calls on NATO and US to air strike against ISIS. The US has admitted that they can only support the Iraqi forces and cannot solve the problem for the Iraqis since it has to do with Iraqi political solution.
