Solutions to Improve Communication in Your Relationship

Communication Matters explores common communication problems that couples face such as feeling unheard, passing blame, shouting at each other, and disrespect.  Get a detailed look at issues five couples faced and how they were able to find a solution to their communication problems.  Each chapter features techniques the couples used to work through their issues and reflection questions to further engage readers in improving the communication in their relationships.  From dealing with a partner that does not listen to combating the urge to dig up issues from the past, Communication Matters focuses on identifying triggers, openly discussing boundaries, and getting to know your communication style.

Kelli has several years’ experience working with families and adolescents. She is a wife and mother and devotes her time to working in several ministries. Kelli is a Relationship Coach and a graduate student at Southeastern Louisiana University. Her concentration is in martial, couple, and family counseling. Kelli plans to specialize in spiritual counseling after graduation and continue working with couples for premarital counseling, marriage workshops, and more. Her goal is to become a licensed professional counselor and open a non-profit counseling center in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Kelli plans to continue working with low-income families by providing counseling and relationship building workshops.
