The photography exhibit highlighted the Bronx's architectural majesty and cultural wealth. Austrian photographer Thomas Stubbings presented pictures he took of the borough—its buildings and people—alongside pictures of his native Vienna, dramatically illustrating the stark differences, as well as the striking similarities, between two places with different histories. This is what some of the visitors had to say: "Being an avid traveler and lover of photography it was a pleasure to see the juxtaposition of two mostly different cultures compare so closely. There is an immerse amount of beauty and seemingly beauty-less metropolitan cities. I wholeheartedly believe that the architecture and culture defined the beauty and both The Bronx and Vienna and Thomas C. Stubbing's effectively captured the beauty and his work" Nicole, Peter & Amber Please note The Bronx Meets Vienna has been extended until August 16th. This exhibition is supported by the Austrian Cultural Forum New York ABOUT THE ARTIST Thomas Stubbings works as self-employed photographer.
