-- Software developer Analytics Edge has released a free add-in and connector for Microsoft Excel that provides direct access to Google Analytics tracking data. Building on the company’s portfolio of simple Excel report automation tools, the new add-in and connector make it easy to automate Google Analytics reports in Excel.
Using a wizard-based interface that requires no programming, the free Google Analytics connector effectively replaces and improves on the outdated open source alternative, Excellent Analytics. The new utility comes with access to all the latest Google Analytics dimensions and metrics, and doesn’t suffer from any of the limitations typical of free products: it has no account limits, no query limits, and no limit to the number of rows that can be downloaded.
The add-in and connector combination also permits multiple queries per worksheet, which can all be refreshed with a single-click. Those queries can use dynamic date ranges making it effortless to get last month’s data, regardless of the current date.
