TAU is listed in Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU)

GEORGETOWN, Guyana - July 31, 2014 - PRLog -- The Association of the Commonwealth Universities is the world’s first and oldest international university network which was established in 1913. ACU is a UK registered charity with over 500 member institutions in developed and developing countries all over the world across the Commonwealth. ACU addresses the issues on International higher education through a wide range of projects, networks and events.

The ACU administers scholarships, provides academic research and leadership on issues in the sector, and promotes inter-university cooperation and the sharing of good practice – helping universities serve their communities, now and into the future.

Dr Anastasias Christodoulou was the Secretary General of the Association of Commonwealth Universities from 1980 to 1996. In 1986, Queen Elizabeth II became patron of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Up to 15 scholarships are available during 2014-2015 for international students to study for Master’s degrees at universities in ten low and middle income Commonwealth countries, including Bangladesh, Barbados, Ghana and South Africa.
