Degafloor - the toughest cookie at Burtons Biscuits
The demanding nature of this fast paced environment called for a suitably fit for purpose flooring finish that could offer exceptional durability and slip resistance, as well as fast curing properties, to minimise any possible disruption to business operations.
To ensure Burtons Biscuits’ needs were adequately catered for, MHIF recommended the use of the Degafloor FB system, which is based on highly advanced Methyl Methacrylate resin technology that enables rapid installations and creates an ultra strong bond to substrates making the floor virtually unbreakable even when exposed to constant pressures from foot traffic, heavy machinery or rigorous cleaning regimes using harsh chemicals.
Before the new floor could be installed, MHIF carried out extensive preparation works, including creating falls the full length of the area from the middle of the ovens to allow water to run off during wash down. Subsequently, the new resin finish was installed across the production area of 790m2, as well as the packing room floor.
