Follow on Google News | Sunday In The Park, a free community concert returns to Pendleton King ParkMusic nourishes the soul and hearing some really good music will be worth a trip to the park on September 07, 2014.
By: Nu Mercy/Freed Souls Sunday In The Park is being presented by Freed Souls, a community outreach organization with the intent to give something positive back to the general public by sharing the universal language of love through music. “There will not only be free music but we will also be giving away free food, clothes and prizes,” states BM Snowden one of the event organizers. “Meeting people with a message of hope in music is a big part of what we do, however, we also want to help in other ways. We know some people are struggling on various levels and some extra food and clothing could make a difference for at the very least that day or moment,” she adds. There will also be information available regarding various resources that include jobs and social services. Expect to hear some really, really, good music from local recording artist including contemporary recording artist Nina Scott along with contemporary gospel recording artist Appointed, rappers Shaudy P and Chris Turner as well as Journey of His Will. The music doesn't stop with just our local artist because there will also be music guest from several different states on hand for this very special day. "We want to see everyone out there. So bring your wife, your kids and your grandmother too, exclaims Snowden. In fact, bring every one and have some fun at Sunday In The Park."
