-- CBM Records, a record label specializing in artist development, distribution and really making a mark in changing the way labels work, has expanded its roster with Erik Smallwood and Three Beards. Both are very unique in what they do. Erik is a driven country artist and Three Beards has one unique sound you almost can’t classify.
Erik Smallwood is a Singer/songwriter from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and has worked with and opened for a wide variety of well-known artists. Will McFarlane (former guitarist for Bonnie Raitt), Donna Jean (formerly of The Grateful Dead), and Jason Isbell (formerly of the Drive-by Truckers). Three Beards, winners of Fayetteville Friction Artist of the month December 2013, Guitar News Daily Spotlight Artist June 2014, Sweet Relief Reverbnation Spotlight Artist of the Month July 2014. Band consists of Hank Barbe on vocals and guitar, and Kenny Freeman on vocals and guitar. Hank Barbe was in the 82d Airborne as a medic in an Airborne Infantry unit, and then he was a flight medic in Iraq. He received the Air Medal, and was featured in a TIME Magazine article.Kimberly James, the owner of CBM Records says “We have had our eye on Erik for some time and Three Beards, well, we heard their music and went “Oh Yeah, we need these guys”. We are excited to be working with such talent.”
CBM Records is a label based in Atlanta, Ga., that develops up and coming artists and bands as well as distributing their music to thousands of stores across the globe. The artists on the label make a lot of decisions in the business side of the label as well. CBM Records handles rock, country, metal, singer songwriter and blue grass, and has a sister company Status Records that handles EDM, Hip Hop, R&B and pop.
