“Breaking Bread DMV” to Feed Over 1,500 Homeless Residents August 16, 2014

WASHINGTON - July 16, 2014 - PRLog -- “Breaking Bread DMV” started in February 2014 as a volunteer effort consisting of independent artists, advocates and philanthropists. In May, the most-recent installment of #BreakingBreadDMV, presented by Will Rap 4 Food, Inc. and Bleu Royalty Productions attracted over 80 volunteers to the Anacostia Arts Center to pack and deliver 1,323 lunches for clients of Martha’s Table and residents of New York Avenue Men’s Shelter. On August 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Breaking Bread DMV team once again invites the public to help meet the goal of packing and delivering 1,500 lunches; Breaking Bread DMV will be held at Covenant House Washington, located at 2001 Mississippi Avenue, SE, DC.

APPROXIMATELY $400 per hour is needed to maintain food and beverage supplies.
