NEW YORK - July 5, 2014 - PRLog -- If the 2014 FIFA World Cup was simply a contest of advertising, it was already hard enough to pick a favorite between ESPN, Nike and even a smaller company like Cerveza Cristal. Then along comes Beats by Dre, fresh off its ridiculous $3.2 billion sale to Apple, with “The Game Before the Game,” which is definitely the longest of the ads at a cool 5:04. But holy crap, you guys, if you don’t watch this whole thing and suddenly feel like running outside and bench-pressing every car in sight, I don’t know what to tell you. This video is just packed with goosebumps and chills.

With only days to go before the start of the World Cup in Brazil, Beats by Dre has released its ad, and it quite a doozy. "The Game Before the Game" is centered around Brazilian star Neymar Jr., who is listening to his father's advice before he takes his place on the biggest stage in his sport.

The video features Neymar Jr., Bacary Sagna, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Blaise Matuidi, Cesc Fàbregas, Daniel Sturridge, Chicharito, Jozy Altidore, Luis Suárez, Mario Götze, and Robin van Persie, while Neymar da Silva Sr., LeBron James, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rafaella Beckran, Rio Ferdinand, Serena Williams, Sydney Leroux, Stuart Scott, and Thierry Henry also lend their faces so that the point of just how HUGE the World Cup is really driven home. And the song, in case you’re wondering, is “Jungle” by X Ambassadors & Jamie N Commons, and I think the biggest reason I like it is because it’s not “The Man.”

Neymar has stepped up the excitement levels another notch ahead of the World Cup by playing a starring role in Beats By Dre headphones feature-length advert.

Featuring a plethora of other sporting stars, including many players who will hope to make their mark in Brazil this summer, the advert profiles the mental battle every athlete faces in the build-up to a massive game.

Luis Suarez, Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Daniel Sturridge and Mario Goetze are some of the footballing heroes to appear in the advert, while Rio Ferdinand and Thierry Henry also appear.

The advert, which is over five minutes long, will be rolled out in a shorter format in more than nine countries and five different languages with each version highlighting the athletes and rituals that are authentic to the country in which it airs.

Fabregas kisses the ring his girlfriend gave him four times exactly and Suarez kisses the tattoo of his son and daughter's names on his wrist for love and good luck.

NBA superstar LeBron James, tennis player Serena Williams and musicians Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj in the advert which showcases the new Beats Solo2 headphones.
