The Drive In Restaurant Wins Second Consecutive Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award

TAYLORS FALLS, Minn. - July 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Earning a 5 star customer satisfaction rating in 2014, The Drive In Restaurant (with two locations) has won the prestigious Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award in the Restaurants category for a second straight year.

The Talk of the Town Awards, presented by Talk of the Town News, honor companies and professionals that provide excellent customer service as reported by their customers through no-cost, user-review websites, blogs, social networks, business rating services, and other honors and accolades. This data is analyzed by a team of researchers who calculate a company’s CM Power Rating™. Only those that receive a 4-star to 5-star rating receive the Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award.

The Drive In Restaurant takes diners back to the 1950s with homemade root beer and old-fashioned, hand-packed burgers served by carhops in poodle skirts. “We provide an experience,” says Wade Vitalis, co-owner of the restaurant. “It is our goal to provide memories and a tradition for our extended community in a wholesome environment.”

With back-to-back Talk of the Town Awards for customer satisfaction, The Drive-In has succeeded in providing diners with an exceptional experience. “We focus on just two things — customer service and teamwork,” says Vitalis. “These seem like obvious and simple enough concepts, but the execution takes chemistry, training, leadership and work — a lot of intentional work. Despite the restaurant’s success, however, Vitalis says the team will not rest, but will continue to work on improving. “Excellent customer service isn’t the finish line of a race or a destination,” he says. “It is a perpetual movement toward excellence, a continual effort of working to be better — never stopping because you think you have achieved it.”

About The Drive In Restaurant

The original Drive In Restaurant was opened in Taylors Falls nearly 60 years ago by the Anderson family. The brother and sister team of Gail and Wade Vitalis purchased the restaurant in 1988, after it had been closed for a year. This new “family” breathed life into The Drive In, restoring the 1950s-era theme with carhops wearing poodle skirts, 50s music and more. An iconic rotating mug installed in 1963 still greets guests today.

Wade and his wife Carol bought the restaurant in 1993 and added an 18-hole adventure mini-golf course featuring waterfalls and ponds. Wade, Carol and their three kids still operate the family business with two locations. The original Drive In is located at 572 Bench Street in Taylors Falls and is open from mid-April through mid-October. The second location is at 133 State Highway 70 in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, and is open from March to November with indoor seating.
