Follow on Google News | Utrecht Computer Science Students win Health Hackfest Brussels 2014Hacking Health for Good in Europe - The Health Hackfest 2014 was a success for all partners involved and some great hacks were created over two days.
By: The Hackfest It was developed by Wouter Benninga, Sebastiaan Vendrik, Robin Timmermans, Thomas Spiegelenberg and Karim Anmiri, a group of our third year Computer Science students from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, who specialize in Advanced Software Engineering. The runner-up were Foodie, developed by Friedger Müffke which an application for Android and Google Glass that helps people find out quickly whether to buy a product or not. Partners of the event, IBM were pleased with the results: "For IBM, The Healthhackfest was an excellent event to see how developers created concrete ideas and prototypes in such a short time by exploiting different technologies such as Bluemix, the open-standards cloud-based platform for building, managing and running applications of all types,” said Michel Splint, Ecosystem Development Manager for Benelux IBM Software Group.
