WALTHAM, Mass. - June 16, 2014 - PRLog -- WOBURN, MA, ISSUED MAY 20, 2014…LifeLine Ambulance Service (www.lifelineamb.com), New England’s fastest-growing ambulance company and healthcare service, today announced the launch of the AmbuPad™, a mobile electronic patient care reporting device, which will be deployed in more than 100 of their vehicles in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Long viewed as an innovator in the EMS field, LifeLine is the first in the industry to bring this latest technology to market. The eight-year old ambulance firm, headed by 35+ year industry veteran Brian J. Connor, had teamed up with software developer WedMedicPro to design the AmbuPad™ a mobile electronic patient care reporting device designed to collect patient care data for wireless reporting to state and federal agencies and to forward to the receiving hospitals. Connor said that this new device is the only HIPPA, ePHI and Nemsis 3.0 ready device operating on a totally secure Verizon wireless virtual private network. All of the data is encrypted and totally protected.

Early in this partnership, Connor requested that WebMedicPro relocate their office within LifeLine’s Corporate headquarters at 11 State Street, Woburn in order to utilize LifeLine’s EMT and Paramedic staff on a daily basis to help test and develop the product. Connor said, “This unique approach helped shaved years off the development and testing phases of the software and device design. We joked, that all the great software companies started in a garage and we hope to follow in their footsteps!”

AmbuPad™ is a paperless patient care reporting system that can operate on any mobile device. It is NEMSIS 3.0 ready, EPHI and HIPPA compliant and is used in the field, providing seamless communications between the EMTs/Paramedics in the field, their Dispatch Center, Billing Office, and hospital/treatment center. The device also conforms to all state and federal data reporting requirements by sending data immediately after each transport to those agencies.

“EMS Industry providers struggle with implementing mobile technology that can enhance both patient care and operational efficiency,” said Hadi Shavarini, CEO of WebMedicPro. “Most other software competitors offer software solutions that come with large upfront hardware costs, license fees and ongoing maintenance fees. When we partnered with LifeLine, Brian told us we have to make it simple, make it work and make it cheap; because the ambulance industry reimbursement rates have gone down over the past eight years, not up!  I’m proud to say that we have not only accomplished his goals, but we made it better, the cost for our complete turn-key device is $0.14 per hour!”

Connor said, “We transport over 300 patients daily. We needed to be on the forefront of this project in an effort to ensure the future financial viability of our company. The AmbuPad™ is truly the best and most cost effective product on the market today; it was developed out of a garage by people in the field who do this every day. We hope to be as successful as Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates who also started their business out of a garage!
