| Shutts & Bowen’s Robert Brighton elected to Association for Corporate Growth global boardThriving 60-year-old international organization drives middle-market growth
By: Shutts & Bowen LLP With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Brighton has represented ACG’s core constituencies, including private equity firms, their client companies, senior and mezzanine lenders, and institutional investors, in middle-market private equity transactions for companies with annual revenues typically between $50 million and $1 billion. He is based in Shutts & Bowen’s Fort Lauderdale office. Mr. Brighton joined ACG in 2000 and has been an active member of the board of directors of the ACG Florida chapter since then. He served as president of the ACG Florida Chapter from 2008 to 2010, has chaired its ACG Florida Cup competition committee, and currently chairs its corporate membership committee. Earlier this year, Mr. Brighton was named as the chairman of the 2015 ACG Florida Capital Connectionâ, to be held in South Florida. Mr. Brighton previously served as chairman of the ACG Florida Capital Connection in 2006 and 2011, as well as the organizational committees for the Capital Connection each year since its inception in 2005.
